At LKENAIL, we recommend that both nail enthusiasts and nail technicians wear gloves and take UV protection measures.
Applying sunscreen or wearing UV protective gloves while using the lamp can effectively reduce the irritation caused by UV rays to the skin on your hands. Although UV LED nail lamps emit a lower dose of UV light, prolonged or frequent exposure may still have cumulative effects on the skin.
Sunscreen:
We recommend choosing a sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher, specifically suitable for use on hands. Apply it evenly on the skin of your hands to help block some UV rays and reduce the risk of burning and photo-aging.
Protective gloves:
Special UV protective gloves are usually designed to cover the back of the hands and finger joints, leaving the fingertips exposed for easy nail work. They can effectively block most UV rays and are especially helpful for people with sensitive skin or those who need to use the lamp for extended periods.
If possible, the best option is to use both sunscreen and protective gloves together. This will offer the maximum protection for your hand health.
