Nail lamps are designed for use with gel-type products, such as base coats, color gels, and top coats, which contain photo-sensitizing agents that only cure under UV light exposure.
So, if you're using regular nail polish, you will need to allow it to dry naturally, which typically takes anywhere from a few minutes to over 10 minutes to completely dry.
